Hi, I'm Katharine

I grew up in Darien, CT, where my love for sports and creativity was nurtured from a young age. This passion led me to Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH, where I spent all four years as an alpine ski racer. But it wasn’t until my junior year that I truly discovered where my creative journey would take me. I started working with the football team as their Creative Media Director, and that’s when the idea for Birdies Design Co. was born.

The name "Birdies" holds a special place in my heart. It was actually a nickname my parents called me growing up, because I eat like a bird and tend to pick at my food but also because I was named after my grandmother, Alberta. I hope she would be proud of the company I’ve built as I hope I am carrying her spirit with me as I create.

As I dove deeper into design, I realized how much I loved bringing ideas to life, especially when I had the chance to do it for my own wedding. I took on the task of designing everything—from the signage to the favors—with a clear vision, and I wanted to see it all come to life exactly as I had imagined it.

Now, with Birdies Design Co., I’m dedicated to helping my clients bring their own unique visions to life. Whether it’s interior design, wedding design, logo creation, or website work, my goal is always to make sure that each project reflects the personal style and dreams of my clients. Every design is a new adventure, and there’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing someone’s dream come to life.
